Browne Basses custom order schedule is now full. We would like to keep our wait time to a minimum on custom orders that have already been placed. For those of you that have inquired about a bass in the past, you are still more than welcome to place your order, but we will not be accepting any new inquiries at this time.

There will be an announcement sometime in the near future when the order schedule reopens, so please stay tuned!

Thanks again for all of your interest and keep an eye out for completed basses in the gallery.

Well folks, it's been a long time since I've been around, there have been a lot of changes in my life. I started a full time job working as a shop foreman at a local Caterpillar dealership in July 2004, you know I gotta pay the bills some how. I've been living in a condo since June 2004 and have had a really hard time getting over to the shop to work on the basses, and since then my father moved all of my equipment over to one side of the shop so he could park his car for the winter, so it's been kind of a no go for a while. On top of all that fun my computer took a dump this passed fall and I just got a new one so little by little I'll be getting back into the bass world as I have time to. The good news is I got engaged this past fall and will be getting married to my beautiful fiance Kalan this coming October, and we are now in the process of buying a house so some time in late march I should have my shop set back up in my new house and will be back to building. I won't be taking any orders at this time, I have some basses that I have to finish up on and with the full time job I will be building in my free time only. So as I finish up new projects I will post them up here on my site for sale. Thank you everyone for your patience.

Well it's been a while since I have done anything with the site so here you go, there are a lot of new updates and pictures of basses nearing completion. I have been working on my shop since I got back from NAMM, I set up a spray area for doing spray clear finishes on my basses and a buffing station, I also had to change the entire floor plan of the shop to make room for the new spray area. I will have pictures of the shop up in the new Misc. Photos section located in the Gallery, once I get a chance to fire up the camera.

I also have a guest, Stevie G is coming down to visit from Canada to hang out and work in my shop with me on some basses, he'll be here for about a month starting this Sunday, it should be fun I can't wait, I'll be sure to take lots of pictures.

Well time to make the basses, thanks for stopping by.

There will be a lot of new updates coming very soon. I'm currently working on five basses and will have them all done this month, as I will be showing them at the NAMM '04 show in Anaheim, California. These five basses include two new body designs, I should have pictures of all of these instruments up by the end of December.

Thank you for your interest.

I finished up Andrews six string and am planning on taking it to him within the next week. Check out the gallery section to see some pictures and information about the bass. It's going to be hard to let this bass go, but it's going to a good home so I'm happy about that.

I'm in the process of building Casey's bass right now, it's going to be a 36" six string fretless with a Gaboon ebony top and walnut back. I think I might hold the progress pictures back until it's done so it's a surprise to Casey, being that he's the man that puts the pictures up. I wouldn't want to torture the poor guy with all kinds of pictures, haha. I'll have to see how it all goes though.

Thanks for stopping by, and please come again.

Welcome to the Browne Basses NEWS section, were you can check back from time to time for updates on current instruments being built and upcoming instruments that I will list information about. I will also keep you informed about order openings, being that I am limiting myself to about 4 orders at a time, so you get your instruments faster and I don't get overwhelmed with too many orders at one time.

I have been working on some new body designs that are a bit smoother and more conservative than my current body design, that I will be putting drawings of up on the site in the next few weeks for you to see and comment on.

I am also working up a pricing system that should help aid in your decision about purchasing one of my instruments. It will include the types off basses I offer, types of wood that I use, what options I offer, and a way for you to calculate an estimated price range for the instrument that you are specifically interested in having built.
